I hope that we can become a paperless company and Box.net has given us all the necessary tools to make this happen. Box.net is extremely user friendly, and we have not run into any problems. I am a very satisfied customer!
Box-Netsuite integration would be great if it was reliable and if Box support was better. We've been using this for years and there were frequent problems with the 1.x version with SSO, requiring re-logging into Box frequently within Netsuite, even when already logged into Box in another browser window. It may have been related to updates in the browser or Netsuite, but Box was extremely slow to react and fix (took well over 1 year). For some records, we had to have, we set up a custom link field and manually pasted shared link for certain documents from Box folder since the integration was so unreliable.
Recently, all of a sudden, our Box integration no longer worked. We were informed that the version we were using had been deprecated by a new version, which had been available for a few years. Unbeknownst to our organization, it would have been nice to have been informed. Migration process has been very manual, with limited support, and still hasn't worked. We've lost access to the Box data associated with Netsuite records for several weeks trying to get this back up and running. Box’s support was slow to respond and frustrating to deal with. I'm usually a pretty laid back guy that realizes things can take time, but dealing with Box is such a chore. They often just don't seem to know or care about (I guess) stuff, specially like the Netsuite-Box integration. I don't typically write reviews, but I saw the star rating here and felt compelled to share our experience for awareness and fairness. If you do use, just beware and proactively check for planned updates and hope for the best when updates to browsers and Netsuite occur.
Although we utilize Box organization-wide and it's great for a lot of things, at this point we are actively searching for alternatives, including Microsoft Sharepoint/One Drive (too bad they push their own Great Plains ERP and don't seem to have a Netsuite integration out-of-the-box).
We're using Box.net as the way to share documents between our customers using the Customer Center. We were able to get much more space for a cheaper price than with Netsuite. The features that Box provides are much more useful. Our next rollout of Box.net will be for capturing employee expense receipts. Since Box allows us to create an email address for a Box folder, our employees can take camera phone pictures of receipts and automatically email them to Box and then associate them to expense reports. So much power!
In the last few months our company has integrated the SuiteApp for Box.net into our NetSuite installation. These feature has allowed consolidation of a few different document repositories and has made our expense reporting much easier for the employees. Great products coming together, that is innovation.
Box.net provides a sophisticated document management system that is well needed for NetSuite. The only improvement that is required would be to have a SuiteScript that automatically makes a template folder structure for new records of a particular type. I'm sure one of the integration partners could assist here. Well done to Netsuite and Box!
We use Macs, so we are currently awaiting a desktop sync. Other than that, Box.net allows us to expand and operate globally without worrying about security or hardware issues. Being integrated with Netsuite, we all can access, share and collaborate on files from mobile phones, ipads, and laptops anywhere. We use it equally for operations and sales, and recently shut our servers down, eliminating the need for in-house IT and our own hardware. I highly Box.net integrated with Netsuite. It enables you to do what you excel at, supported by a strong and reliable architecture.
Box is great it allows us to work simultaneously at our home office and abroad. Has also allowed us to be green...less paper less waste. Everything is streamlined and easy to use.
We have been using box.net and netsuite separately for a few years. With the ability to use them together now, we have been able to streamline how we share files with customers, vendors, and sales reps. The box.net SuiteApp is quickly becoming an invaluable tool for us.
